Newbury, NH – (December 24, 2007) – Thanks to Mount Sunapee’s snowmaking firepower, Mount Sunapee Resort will have the only groomed half pipe open in the State of New Hampshire for the Christmas/New Year’s holiday period. A half pipe is one of the most popular terrain park features for skiers and snowboarders. The 300’ half pipe is located in the SoBe Freeride Zone which features a new 4,000-watt sound system. Also located in the SoBe Freeride Zone skiers and riders will find a quarter pipe, vertical wall and dozens of rails, boxes and hits of all sizes.
In addition to the half pipe, all 51 of Mount Sunapee’s snowmaking trails are buried edge-to-edge with up to three feet of snow for the holidays. All 10 lifts, including the high-speed Sunapee Express quad chairlift, are scheduled to operate Thursday, December 27 through Tuesday, Jan 1.
