Women's Programs Abound at Mount Sunapee

Newbury, NH – Mount Sunapee has new and unique programs geared especially for women.

New this season are One-Day Women’s Workshops the weekends of January 6-7, February 10-11 and March 3-4, 2007.  The Workshops, available for skiers or snowboarders, will be available each day of the weekend.  “These workshops will be led by the top female instructors on our staff,” said Maura Gorman, director of the Learning Center at Mount Sunapee.  Each day will include four hours of coaching, lunch and a full day lift ticket.  The full-day workshop costs $185 per person.

Every Tuesday during non-holiday periods is Ladies’ Day at Mount Sunapee.  For only $42 ladies can ski or ride all day long, but that’s not all.  Included in the price is a delicious complimentary buffet lunch served in Goosefeathers Pub in the Spruce Lodge.  Half price child care is available in the Mother Goose Childcare and ladies also receive discounts on assorted Learning Center programs.  Ladies’ Day is one of Mount Sunapee’s most popular midweek programs, where ladies can renew acquaintances, have lunch together and enjoy the skiing and riding at Mount Sunapee.

On Tuesday, February 27, 2007 Heather Paul will host an all-day Ultimate Groove clinic at Mount Sunapee.  Ultimate Groove is a telemark skiing program for women.  Heather is a two-time National Telemark Champion.  A former World Cup Team member, Heather was the bronze medalist at the 1995 World Championships and has made first descents in the Chugach Mountains of Alaska and the Altai Mountains in China.

The Ultimate Groove clinic includes breakfast, lunch and all-day coaching with Heather and her staff.  First time telemark skiers are welcome.  Participants are encouraged to learn at their own pace with an emphasis on fun, camaraderie and total health.  Here is an opportunity to broaden your skiing and personal horizons.  Rental equipment is available.  For more clinic dates, information and registration go to ultimategroove.com.
