Freestyle

The Freestyle Program strives to develop freestyle skiers who can compete in Mogul, Half Pipe, “Big Air” and Freeride competitions.  The athletes often train as a group or are divided up into groups based on age and ability.  Each athlete must be at least 8 years old to join the program and is required to be a member of USSA.  Mount Sunapee and the USSA require that all athletes wear helmets.  

Michael Lovell, head freestyle coach, will create the schedule for meets. Mount Sunapee will be hosting an event in February and one in March.  The coaching staff will support all scheduled away meets. During these meets, training will be available at Mount Sunapee when possible. The program is from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm.

Ages:	8-18 years old (DOB 12/31/00 - 12/31/90)
Dates:	December 13, 2008 - April 12, 2009 Training daily through Weekends, Christmas and February vacation periods.
Time	Sat. & Sun.; 9:00-11:30am & 12:30-2:30pm
Meeting Place:	Outside the Gray Race Building
Format:	Must be a member of USSA. Athletes compete in 5-8 mogul, halfpipe & big air competitions.
